Golden Hearts Labrador Kennels
the health and well-being of our puppies are our top priority. We are proud to offer a comprehensive health guarantee to provide our clients with peace of mind and assurance.
Every puppy we sell undergoes thorough health checks by a licensed veterinarian before joining their new home. This includes screenings for common genetic conditions and a complete assessment to ensure they are strong, healthy, and ready to thrive.
Our health guarantee covers any genetic health issues within a specified period after purchase (outlined in your guarantee agreement). Should any unforeseen health concerns arise, we will work with you to provide the necessary support and solutions.
We are committed to ethical breeding practices and take every measure to minimize potential health risks, including proper vaccinations, deworming, and routine care. Our dedication ensures you are bringing home a healthy, happy Belgian Malinois companion.

What’s Covered
All Labrador Retriever puppies sold come with a health guarantee.
Here’s how it works:
Initial Exam (Within 10 Days)
- You must have your puppy examined by a licensed veterinarian within 10 days of delivery. If the vet finds a clinical illness or your puppy dies due to a pre-existing condition:
You may return the puppy for a full refund
You may request a replacement puppy of equal value
You may keep the puppy and receive reimbursement for reasonable veterinary expenses, not exceeding the purchase price
- These options are not available if health concerns were already disclosed in writing at the time of sale or confirmed on the official health certificate.
Congenital or Hereditary Defects (Within 30 Days)
If a licensed vet finds a congenital or hereditary defect within 30 days of purchase—or if the puppy dies from such a defect—the same refund, replacement, or vet cost coverage options apply.
Important: You must notify us within 2 business days of any diagnosis and provide the vet’s name, contact information, and written documentation. Failure to report within this window voids the guarantee.
Buyer’s Responsibilities
- By purchasing a Labrador Retriever puppy from Golden Hearts Labrador Kennels, you agree to the following:
- Veterinary Visit Within 48 Hours
Schedule an exam with your own veterinarian within 48 hours of the puppy’s arrival. This confirms the puppy’s condition upon delivery and establishes your vet relationship early on. - Limit Exposure to Illness
We are not responsible for any exposure to illness after the puppy leaves our care. Use caution when introducing your puppy to new environments or animals, especially in high-traffic areas. - Ongoing Care & Prevention
To maintain this guarantee, you agree to keep your puppy on a regular veterinary schedule, including vaccinations, deworming, and any recommended treatments. Puppies are dewormed before delivery, but continued prevention is your responsibility. - Condition for Replacement
If your puppy is diagnosed with a life-threatening congenital defect, provide us with an official vet report. The puppy must be returned before a replacement can be issued. All transportation costs for returned or replacement puppies are the buyer’s responsibility. - Veterinary Costs
The breeder is not responsible for ongoing vet bills, treatments, or general medical expenses after the puppy leaves our care. - Guarantee Voids
This health guarantee becomes void if: - The puppy is sold or transferred to a third party
- Normal care and precautions are not taken
- Recommended vaccinations are ignored or duplicated unnecessarily
- Small Breed Note (Not Applicable to Labs)
Note: Hypoglycemia and related issues typically affecting toy/small breeds do not apply to Labrador Retrievers and are omitted from this version. - Autopsy Clause
If your puppy passes away and the cause of death is in question, the breeder reserves the right to request an autopsy performed by a licensed veterinarian, at the buyer’s expense. If results confirm breeder negligence, a replacement puppy will be provided. - Vaccination Records
All vaccinations are administered by or under the guidance of our licensed vet. You will receive a complete vaccination and deworming record with your puppy. Please continue your vet’s recommended schedule. - Exclusions
This guarantee does not cover: - Common, non-life-threatening conditions such as:
- Kennel cough
- Coccidia
- Giardia
- Worms or parasites
- Diarrhea due to transition stress
- Open fontanel
- Collapsed trachea
